An interdisciplinary research team from the University of Regensburg and the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg has joined forces in the Collaborative Research Center/Transregio TRR374 funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) with the topic “Tubular system and interstitium of the kidney: (Patho-)physiology and crosstalk.”.

Prof. Korbmacher’s working group is contributing to this research with the sub-project A4 “Renal ENaC regulation by the transmembrane serine protease TMPRSS2 and structure-based analysis of proteolytic channel activation”.
